Woodsen adventures in Utah

Last Thursday Kaden and I embarked on our trip up to Utah to pick up Matt and see the family. I was a little worried about it being just the two of us because Kaden tends to get a bit bored in the car. He was so GOOD! We stopped and got out a few times and he loved that. He was such good company the whole way up. He giggled and talked in the back and played with his toys. We just switched him to a forward facing seat because he's too tall for the infant seat! He likes it much more and we can see each other. It was a fun trip with my little man. Here are somce cute pictures of him from our stop at "Hole in the Rock."

Kaden with Andrea's neice Maleah. He loves other babies and kids. It's funny how little ones can recognize each other.

Vanessa, a girl in Matt's computer major, and her husband came by. It was so fun to chat and for Matt to catch up with a friend. She brought Kaden some really cute clothes too. thanks!

We went to Thanksgiving point for a Jon Schmidt piano concert. It was at the gardens in the ampitheatre by the waterfalls. It was so beautiful. We brought blankets and lawn chairs and enjoyed a gorgeous night with family and entertainment.

Before the show Matt, Traci and I walked around. The landscaping is spectacular. We took a lot of pictures because it was so beautiful. Thanksgiving point is amazing to me beause it is completely nonprofit. The owner helped start word-perfect and wanted to give back, so he started Thanksgiving Point.

Some of us waiting for the concert to start.

Matt with his mom, Traci.

Love this man....

Our cute l ittle family. I can't believe how much I love these boys! I can't get enough of them. Kaden loved the music. He is such a trooper; always just goes with the flow. He's constantly on the go, and always content. What a beautiful baby.

Babe, Daddy, we MISS you!

Matt has been gone for 2 weeks visiting his family in Utah. I am so glad that he got to go and spend time with them, and I think that it has been a good little break for both of us. Poor Matt has to spend almost all of his time with me! He has been having a great time and Kaden and I have had fun here, but now, we are MISSING him! We are headed to Utah to pick him up on Thursday. I am excited to see my handsome man and I know Kaden will be very happy to see his daddy.

This is how we feel when daddy is gone......

Family...the greatest blessing...

Our own little family. I love these boys more than anything.

With my beautiful mom and sister

The menfolk....John-Isaac, my dad, Matt, Kaden, my mom's brother Steve, and Steve, a family friend

Kaden LOVES his Papa....and I think his Papa might love him a little bit too!
Family is the greatest blessing. I am so grateful to have the most wonderful family. I know that I can count on any of them for anything. They are my light and life. I cannot express my love and appreciation for them, but my sun rises and sets for these beautiful people.

Jilly's Wedding...

My lovely Jilly June bug at her reception. Congrats beautiful girl!

I was so fortunate to have the best roommates in the world my freshman year of college. We are still the best of friends and try to see each other often and to stay in touch. About a month ago Jill got married. She is #4 of the 6 of us, so I think we're doing pretty good! Her hometown is very close to ours, so we headed down to Farmington, New Mexico for her reception. It was beautiful. Matt and I had a wonderful time together. We danced and reminisced on our own wedding. It was so much fun to get together with my beautiful girls. There were four of us there and we had a great time. I love the girls so much and have countless unforgettable memories of our fun times together. Frienships like these are not common and I feel so blessed to have these beautiful ladies in my life.
