I love watching the fireworks at the lake. The reflection on the water is great, the echo between the mountains is awesome, and all of the decorated boats on the water give an added bonus. This year there was actually a jazz band playing patriotic music and making funny sound effects, they made it even better!
I was trying to get all of us in the picture and I think it is pretty hilarious. I love it actually.

Kaden was yelling at John-Isaac, "no, no, NO". He didn't like me being up there.
We got there early to get good "seats." Any closer and we would have been in the water. The only problem was that we had to entertain Kaden for over and hour, and that got interesting.
The glowstick entertained him for quite a while, after the camera, phone, food, and everthing else lost their charm.
I finally had to lock him in his carseat so he would stay close by. He was way, way, WAY overtired, but he watched the fireworks almost the whole time. He got snuggly and actually HELD STILL for the first time all day.
But finally, he just couldn't handle any more. Not even the loudest firecracker bombs would wake him up.

Love the glow stick pictures! I missed fireworks and pretty much everything this year cause I had my reunion and then I was traveling home. It was crazy, but I saw some fireworks from the plane over Denver and then some over Vegas. I'm back home now and missing CO already! I have to plan my next trip. It's never long enough to see everyone and do everything. We should have called you to come on the Vallecito Creek hike with us. I went with Tessa and Brandi and Hilary and Katie and Hannah and my mom. It was a lot of people, and kids. We didn't make it all the way to the bridge, but maybe next time.

How fun Jess!! I can't believe how big Kaden is getting!! Where has the time gone? And YES YES YES!!! I would love to hang out. We might be gone Friday night and Saturday morning but other then that I'm good! CALL ME!!!
Kaden is really starting to have such a personality! Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Before I say anything else...I have to say- I CAN'T BELIEVE you said what you said. I feel the exact same about you- I know that if we lived closer together we would be so close. I feel so much love for you, I loved that comment. As soon as Grant got home that night I had to show him because I had already said that about you to him. Anyway ya. :)
So both Grant and I are EXTREmely jealous that you have the vitamix. We want it so bad. I love your obsession over fruit. It made me want to eat it more.
