downpour

I would have picked Matt up from the bus stop had it been raining. He made it most of the way home before the clouds opened and let loose. Oh man, did they let loose. Poor guy got completely soaked. I thought he would be bummed, but when he came to the door he was laughing. I love his happy smile, completely drenched. I love Kaden reaching up for his daddy.

It cleared up almost as fast as it came and revealed two perfect full rainbows. I wish I could have taken a better picture. It was beautiful.

I love sun after the rain. Everything smells so wonderful. I love the steam rising off the pavement and the way the light gets soft and glowy. It was a crazy fifteen minutes, but the highlight of the day. Definitely a treat.
